Congrats to Kelly moore for winning her age group aat the cairns 70.3. It was tough conditions but she soliered on, guided by her coach pete loveridge, she now has a ticket to vegas for the world championships, well done Kel!
Turning to running in these cooler months, sophie Heeney won her cross country at eastern creek and now is set to compete at the state all schools in july. Her younger sister ella added to the Heeney trophy cabinet with a stella (get it) second place in her age division in the cross country and is also off to state all schools
Zoe Radford from calrossy toughed it out to get a credible sixth in her age division and will be at eastern creek for the state finals, and not to be outdone maddy roobo robinson from oxley took a break from the hsc and came second on the tough course at coolah, so she will also be at eastern creek at state all schools. Congrats to these girls and they were all at state school triathlon this year as well. An honourable mention must be made to megan Isbester who is a member of Gunnedah tri club but who has come over to tamworth for some training, she finished second in the catholic girls regional division in Inverell and will be lining up at eastern creek.
